This Code of Conduct outlines the standards we expect from every practitioner joining our platform. By agreeing to these principles, you help us ensure a safe, professional, and reliable experience for all — patients, practitioners, and Heallink alike.

Purpose of This Code

This Code supports our verification process, ensuring that every practitioner listed on Heallink meets the high standards our Bristol patients deserve. It reflects our commitment to ethical practice, transparency, and the advancement of holistic healing in the UK. As a verified practitioner, you’re part of a movement to make natural relief accessible and respected.

Our Standards

Professional Integrity

Maintain Qualifications: You must hold valid, up-to-date qualifications for the therapies you offer (e.g., certifications from bodies like the British Acupuncture Council or General Osteopathic Council) and provide proof during verification.
Insurance: You agree to maintain active professional indemnity insurance, as required for holistic practitioners in the UK, and provide evidence upon request.
Honesty: Represent your skills, experience, and services accurately in your Heallink profile, avoiding misleading claims about outcomes or credentials.

Patient Care

Safety First: Provide treatments in a safe, clean environment, adhering to UK health and safety guidelines (e.g., proper hygiene, equipment standards).
Consent: Obtain informed consent from patients before starting any therapy, explaining risks, benefits, and alternatives clearly.
Respect: Treat every patient with dignity, respecting their privacy, boundaries, and individual needs, regardless of background or condition.
Confidentiality: Protect patient information in line with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), sharing it only as needed for treatment or with explicit permission.

Commitment to Heallink

Platform Use: Honour bookings made through Heallink, avoiding off-platform arrangements that bypass our system, to maintain a seamless experience for patients and fairness for all practitioners.
Availability: Keep your Heallink schedule current, promptly confirming or rescheduling appointments to respect patients’ time.
Communication: Respond to patient inquiries via Heallink within 24-48 hours, maintaining a professional and courteous tone.
Fees: Agree to our commission structure (e.g., 10-15% per booking, as outlined during signup), paid only when you’re paid, supporting the platform’s growth.

Ethical Practice

No Harm: Avoid practices that could harm patients physically, emotionally, or financially, including unproven treatments without evidence or excessive pricing.
Transparency: Clearly outline your cancellation policy and session costs on your profile, aligning with fair UK consumer standards.
Professionalism: Uphold a positive reputation for holistic therapy in Bristol, avoiding conduct (online or off) that could discredit the field or Heallink.

Ongoing Accountability

Updates: Notify Heallink within 30 days if your qualifications, insurance, or contact details change, ensuring your verification remains valid.
Feedback: Welcome patient reviews on Heallink as a chance to grow, responding constructively if issues arise.
Compliance: Cooperate with Heallink if we investigate complaints, providing information promptly to resolve disputes fairly.

Enforcement

We take this Code seriously to protect our community. If a practitioner breaches these standards, we may:

Issue a warning and request corrective action.
Suspend your profile temporarily while we investigate.
Remove you from Heallink permanently for serious or repeated violations (e.g., falsifying credentials, unsafe practice).

Patients can report concerns to info@heallink.co, and we’ll address them within 5 business days, keeping both parties informed.

Agreement

By joining Heallink as a verified practitioner, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct. It’s a pledge to your patients, your peers, and our shared vision of holistic healing in Bristol. During verification, you’ll check a box to confirm your commitment — a small step that makes a big difference.
